Baike LNG Marine Gas Supply System Successfully Deployed on Chongqing’s First River-Sea LNG Vessel
On November 11, at Huangqi Port in Fuling District, Chongqing, the city’s first LNG-powered river-sea direct vessel — “Zhonglun Jianghai No.1” — officially commenced its maiden voyage.
The vessel measures 130 meters in length, 16.2 meters in beam, and 8.5 meters in depth, with a cargo capacity of 10,000 tons. Powered exclusively by liquefied natural gas (LNG), the ship achieves outstanding environmental performance, meeting internationally recognized standards for clean and efficient marine transportation.
This milestone not only enables seamless integration between inland river shipping along the Yangtze River and ocean-going logistics routes, significantly improving cargo transport efficiency between Southwest China and coastal ports, but also marks a successful real-world validation of the vessel’s core onboard equipment — the 80 m³ LNG Marine Gas Supply System manufactured by Baike.
